To get you in the mood for the weekend, RIPE Labs has some festive football figures. In our most recent RIPE Labs article, we take a look at what happened with IXP traffic during the group stages of the 2014 FIFA World Cup: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/emileaben/internet-traffic-during-the-world-cup-2014 Kind regards, Mirjam Kuehne RIPE NCC From inno at innogenna.it Fri Jun 27 12:08:59 2014 From: inno at innogenna.it (Innocenzo Genna) Date: Fri, 27 Jun 2014 12:08:59 +0200 Subject: [connect-bof] connect-bof Digest, Vol 5, Issue 1 In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <27422F4C-9066-494E-A139-2DE5C3ED69DE@innogenna.it> many thanks. can I twitt it? (I believe yes) Yesterday, while watching Belgium-Korea in public screens in central Brussels via Belgacom/ADSL, the transmission was frequently broken and went in tilt exactly at the moment of the Belgian score. I wondered whether this was due to the local equipment or to the overcharge of the telecom network. In the last days I attended various net neutrality events in Brussels and Rome, and I repeatedly heard incumbents telcos saying that soccer WC would have been a reason to lift NN in order to ameliorate the user?s experience. Maybe a coincidence?
