You've clearly never done large-scale software upgrade projects. Or
been involved in large-scale user software updates, where the user is
the only person with access to the machine? It's not just a matter of
click and drool, particularly in complex environments with 100's of
different varieties of many different operating systems, each with their
own MTA or MUA.
Anyway, systems upgrading is beside the point. Publish your code and
let people see exactly what you're doing and how you're doing it. Then
come back and we can have reasoned discussion because we will all then
know exactly what we're talking about and there will be less room for
misinterpretation.
