The above archives are maintained by the RIPE NCC.  As is normal in such
cases, changes to the behaviour of the mailing list archives should
originate from the Chair/owner of the mailing list in question.
Sounds like a suitable topic for the WG meeting next week. Rodney??

I would suggest that discussion on this list be aimed at worthwhile and
workable methods of protecting (web) mail archives from practices such as
scrapping so that any request formally made to the RIPE NCC is well
researched and (hopefully) within the abilities of the RIPE NCC to
implement.

Please take into account the difficulties of implementing any suggestion
on a list or (large) site basis in your discussions.

( This is not meant to discourage people, rather, to ensure that any
  possible change is made with the agreement and behest of the denizens
  of the WG )
