Do RIPE rules allow a reference to a LINX document (section 3) ?

Do the references to Data Protection legislation in the UK need some kind
of commentary ? I was thinking something like:

UK Data Protection legislation implements Directive 97/66/EC; other
EU countries will have similar legislation.

and possibly also links to the DPA 1998 (on the HMSO website) and to the
directive (if there's a copy anywhere on the net).
