    Since ORBS is based on whether the system is an open relay or not,
    thorough investigation is not needed, just a check if the relay is
    open or not.
True, but that implies that ORBS doen't cover spam
sources, as RBL does; or at least supposedly does.

    I've reported quite a few systems to ORBS (or actually the previous
    version of the blacklist), and they seemed to get entered into the
    system pretty fast and removed as well after they got fixed (fast =
    a matter of minutes).
Good, but was that during *their* 'office hours'?

    IMHO policy based blacklist raises a lot more suspicions, as is the
    case with MAPS RBL. There has been questions whether the people
    responsible for MAPS are into pay from UU.NET since they haven't
    blocked uu.net even though they've been unable to stop TCPS spamming
    using their relays.
Are they blocking usa.net, msn.com, aol.com, to
mention just a few notorious spam sources?
