As the first in a series of articles aimed at exploring how policy-making institutions are reacting to challenges posed by AI, I’ve written about how the Council of Europe seeks to examine the feasibility of a legal framework for the development, design and application of AI.

As the series continues, our goal will be to raise awareness of these issues so that the technical community can get involved at the early stages of relevant discussions and provide appropriate input to policy makers.
