Many governments throughout history have tried to have all the data they can on their citizens and, despite having far more resources than a resource registry, have failed. Most try to do as good a job as possible and prosecute infractions if they learn of them. As does the RIPE NCC. So, unless someone can come up with compelling evidence that the NCC is a hive of scum and villainy and the database is mostly full of bogus crap, I do not think there is a problem. rgds, Sascha Luck
