Roundtable Meeting for Governments and Regulators in Europe

On Thursday, 26 January 2023, the RIPE NCC held a Roundtable Meeting for government representatives and regulators in Europe. The hybrid event took place onsite in Brussels, Belgium and online.

44 participants joined the meeting onsite and another 34 participated online, representing 15 different countries. The event featured presentations on the Internet in Ukraine, EU regulatory developments, the effect of sanctions on technical operations, and the risk of fragmentation for global Internet governance, as well as updates from the RIPE NCC’s Managing Director, Hans Petter Holen, and the RIPE Chair, Mirjam Kühne.

Our Roundtable Meetings offer government officials and regulators the opportunity to discuss and exchange thoughts on governance issues relevant to the RIPE community, and to get a deeper understanding of complex technical topics.
