Getting There


Sarajevo International Airport is 17 km from the meeting venue, Swissôtel.

Direct flights arrive here daily from:

  • Austria – Vienna (VIE)
  • Croatia – Zagreb (ZAG)
  • Germany – Cologne (CGN), Stuttgart (STR)
  • Qatar – Doha (DOH)
  • Serbia – Belgrade (BEG)
  • Slovenia – Ljubljana (LJU)
  • Turkey – Istanbul (IST)

By bus

The Sarajevo International Airport is connected to the centre of Sarajevo by buses operated by Centrotrans Eurolines. The bus schedule is aligned to the flight timetable.
A one-way ticket costs BAM 5 and a return ticket costs BAM 8. One piece of luggage (up to 23 kg) is included in the price but there is a charge of BAM 5 for each additional piece of luggage, as well as for bags that exceed 23 kg.

By taxi

Taxis from Sarajevo International Airport to Sarajevo cost about BAM 20 (EUR 10). The taxi driver is obliged to write out a receipt on passenger's request. The price may be agreed in advance but it must not exceed the taxi metre amount. The taxi rank is located outside terminal B.

By bus (outside Sarajevo)

Useful Information


Taxi stands are clearly marked, and the starting fare is BAM 1.50. All vehicles use a taxi metre and the driver will issue a receipt upon request.

All legitimate taxis are required to have a “TAXI” sign on the top of the car and license plates with “TA” on them. Taxi fares can only be paid in cash and BAM 1 is charged for each piece of baggage.

Useful Telephone Numbers

Bosnia and Herzegovina use the universal European emergency number 112 for Police/Fire/Ambulance. An operator will redirect the call to the appropriate service.

For specific cases, use the following numbers:

  • Police: 122
  • Fire: 123
  • Ambulance: 124

The telephone prefix for Bosnia and Herzegovina is +387.


Bosnia and Herzegovina’s currency is the Convertible Mark.

ATM machines are available at main banks and at airports and shopping centres.

Language and Alphabet

Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian are the three official languages in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The primary language is Bosnian, although all three languages bear similarities with each other.
