Submissions

Submissions for SEE 11 should be non-commercial; product marketing talks are strongly discouraged. Repeated audience feedback shows that the most successful talks focus on operational experience, research results or case studies. For example, presenters wishing to describe a commercial solution should focus on the underlying technology - principles, algorithms, protocols, configuration, etc., rather than performing a full product demonstration.

Examples of previous presentations can be found at:

Presenters proposing a panel are encouraged to include speakers from several (perhaps even competing) companies and/or a neutral facilitator.

In addition to presentations selected in advance for the plenary, the SEE PC also offers time slots for “lightning talks”, which may be submitted up to the date of the event .

The following general requirements apply

Proposals for plenary presentations, panels, lightning talks and workshops must be submitted preferably by 5 February 2023 (1st deadline), and at the latest by 5 March 2023, using the meeting submission system.

Proposals submitted after this date will be considered on a space-available basis.

  • Presenters should indicate how much time they will require. Usually, 30-minute slots are granted for plenary presentations and 60-minute slots for panels.
  • Proposals for talks will only be considered by the PC if they contain draft presentation slides (slides may be updated at a later date). For panels, proposals must contain a clear description, as well as the names of invited panelists, presenters and moderators.
  • We  expect that most presenters/panelists will be physically present at the SEE 11 Meeting; however, virtual talks are accepted and encouraged

In the first round of applications, you will hear back from the PC by 19 February 2023, and for the second round by 19 March 2023.

If you have any questions or requests concerning content submissions, please email see-pc _at_ ripe _dot_ net.
