Call for Presentations

The next RIPE NCC Regional Meeting will take place on 25 September 2018 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Traditionally, key themes for RIPE NCC Regional Meetings are peering, operational practices, interconnection and collaboration between Internet service providers (ISPs).

The RIPE NCC is now seeking presentations to be delivered at the meeting on challenges, tools, experiences and best practices in the following areas:

  • Internet Development Trends: New technologies and applications, evolution of the Internet ecosystem, analytics and Internet development predictions.
  • Internet Coordination, Governance and Regulatory Practices: Internet-related legislation and its impact, the multistakeholder model, challenges and opportunities, public initiatives and projects in Internet governance and coordination, research and deployment of new technologies.
  • Peering and Internet Exchange Points: Business, technical and social aspects of peering and interconnection.
  • Network Operations and Security: Operational experience and best current practices, security trends and technologies, threat overviews.
  • Key Internet Technologies: Real-life IPv6 and DNSSEC deployment experience, trends and statistics.
  • Content Delivery: Technology, architecture and business models.


Proposals for plenary session presentations, panels, lightning talks and workshops must be submitted for consideration no later than 15 August 2018, using the meeting submission system.

Proposals submitted after this date will be considered on a space-available basis.

Presentations can be submitted in either English or Russian as we use simultaneous translation at the meeting. However, the abstract accompanying your submission must be in English. Please note that marketing or commercial content will not be accepted.
