Date: 29 Sept 2026

Time: 13:00 - 14:30 CEST

A Code of Conduct (CoC) can play an important role in creating a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment at community events. For NOG and other community organisers, creating and maintaining a CoC can sometimes feel like a daunting task — especially for smaller communities and volunteer-led organisations.

In this RIPE NCC Open House, aimed specifically at NOG and community organisers, we’ll take a practical look at what’s involved in creating and maintaining a Code of Conduct for your community.

The session will also draw on the experience of people involved in the development and operation of the RIPE community's own Code of Conduct and Trusted Contact processes.

Whether your community already has a Code of Conduct, you're thinking about creating one, or you're simply looking for ways to make your events more welcoming and inclusive, this session will provide practical advice, ideas and an opportunity to learn from the experiences of other community organisers.
