RIPE Database Release 1.69

You’re viewing an archived page. It is no longer being updated.
These are the release notes for RIPE Database version 1.69. With this release we introduce the dry-run feature, allowing you to make test updates.

Expected Date of Deployment

Test Database: 9 September 2013

Production Database: 23 September 2013

New and Improved Features

This feature will allow you to test your updates with the live database. For a single object update, all business rule, syntax and authentication checks will be performed, but NO change will be made to the database.

To read more about the dry-run functionality, please see Dry-Run Testing in the RIPE Database.

Due to recent issues with the new production version of the REST API, we've decided to extend the migration period until the next release.

For those who have not migrated yet we have created this guide to help you out.

IMPORTANT! The old beta REST API will be available on until release 1.70, scheduled for end of October.

Upcoming Features

Pending Route Authorisation

This is an alternative and simplified way of authorising route object creation. Two separate updates for a single route/route6 object are treated as one create request.
