Intermittent Errors Connecting to RIPE Database Services

From approximately 07:00 UTC on Tuesday 1 December, there have been intermittent errors connecting to the Whois REST API (rest.db.ripe.net) and the Database website (apps.db.ripe.net). This issue is ongoing, and we are investigating the cause.

RIPE Database Query Results Not Showing Updates

On Monday, 9 February between approximately 9:00 and 10:00 (UTC), any changes made in whois updates in the RIPE Database were not reflected in query results. This was the result of a network issue that caused a RIPE Database replication to fail. Updates themselves were not affected, and all updates are now visible in query results. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Emergency Maintenance on Core Services

Today, between 12:30 - 15:00 (UTC+1) the RIPE NCC will carry out emergency maintenance work a number of core services. This is due to an announced security vunerability.

NRTM Outage

From 9 December 2014 at 12:39 CET until 10 December 01:30 CET, the NRTM service was unavailable. This was caused by a bug in the RIPE Database software. This bug will be fixed in the RIPE Database Release 1.77.

Launching the RIPE NCC Academy

The RIPE NCC is pleased to announce the launch of the RIPE NCC Academy, a virtual learning environment that allows you to take courses and obtain certificates online.

RIPE Database Services Interruption

Between 2:04 and 2:21 this morning (UTC), the RIPE Database services were intermittently unavailable due to a network issue with the load balancer. Normal service was restored at 2:21. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Single Sign-On for the RIPE Database

With the RIPE NCC Access single sign-on service, users can log in once and can access many RIPE NCC services. Now, with the new RIPE Database release, users can update their data in the RIPE Database using this single sign-on service.
