Internet Resource Analyst
Amsterdam (next to Central Station)
Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

You’ll be a part of a multicultural and international team that interacts with members across the RIPE NCC service region and implements policies created by the RIPE community.

You’ll do great work by:

  • Managing the Internet number resource lifecycle:
    • Analysing requests to distribute, transfer and maintain Internet number resources (IPv6, IPv4, ASNs)
    • Consulting with RIPE NCC members to analyse complex network implementations and evaluate Internet Number Resource requests
    • Advising and guiding RIPE NCC Members on Internet number resource registration
  • Managing and supporting projects aimed at implementing and supporting RIPE Policy
  • Performing regular auditing activities in direct contact with RIPE NCC Members

As an Internet Resource Analyst, you’ll be responsible for the complete Internet number resource lifecycle in the RIPE NCC service region, for maintaining a strong and accurate registry, and for offering extensive support to all members using RIPE NCC services.

Does this sound like you? Here’s what you’ll need to have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in network operations or in a network administration role. Experience with IP addressing (IPv4, IPv6) and Autonomous System Numbers is a must-have
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering or a related discipline
  • A good understanding of the Internet architecture and related services such as DNS, WHOIS, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work independently, in a team environment, and with global stakeholders
  • Passion for providing the highest level of customer service and sound judgment when interacting with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, administrative and project management skills
  • A fluent level of written and spoken English

Salary:

The annual salary for this position is between EUR 42,600 and EUR 53,300 (before tax). This includes the standard 8% annual “holiday pay” and a 5% end-of-year bonus. Monthly salary is between EUR 3,141 and EUR 3,930 (before tax) for a 37.5-hour work week.
