Administrative Assistant with Secretarial Duties

The RIPE Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC) is one of five Regional Internet Registries providing Internet resource allocations, registration services and coordination activities that support the operation of the Internet. The organisation is set up as a not-for-profit association and the working language is English. The environment is internationally orientated with staff from more than 20 countries.

We are currently seeking an administrative assistant to take on secretarial duties for our FAR department. As Administrative Assistant, you’ll report directly to the Manager of Facilities, Administration and Reception as a member of our Reception team with three other employees.

In order to apply for this position you have to currently reside in the Netherlands.

  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Duration: 7 months, with possibility to extend
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours, divided over 5 days (each 7.5 hours).
  • Ability to work in different shifts (08:30-16:30, 09:30-17:30)

Duties

  • Answer phone calls
  • Provide general administrative support
    • Process deliveries
    • Order office supplies
    • Welcome visitors and couriers
    • Scan incoming mail and file contracts
    • Prepare outgoing mail
    • Arrange transportation
  • Arrange business travel
  • Support the other administrative assistants
  • Offer general administrative support within the company.

Qualifications

In addition to the general qualifications that you can find on our website, we are specifically looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Is a proven team player
  • Is fluent in written and spoken English and Dutch.

Salary & Secondary Benefits

The annual salary for this position is between EUR 27,445 and EUR 36,598 (before tax). This includes the standard 8% annual 'holiday pay' and a 5% end-of-year bonus.
