As Business & Data Analyst, you are expected to deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. You will be part of a newly established business intelligence unit that aims to support management in strategy development and resource allocation to increase the impact of assigned programmes and activities. Business & Data Analyst

Location: From our office at Amsterdam Central Station and from home

Full-time, 37.5 hours

In your role as Business & Data Analyst, you are expected to work with your colleagues on collecting, interpreting and documenting insights into the development of the Internet and into relevant local needs throughout the RIPE NCC’s service region. The Business & Data Analyst is also expected to be able to report and present these findings in comprehensive studies and presentations on the impact of the RIPE NCC’s programmes and activities to the programme owners and relevant colleagues. This is a new position in the Community and Engagement Department. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who can shape this role and set up relevant measurement tools and metrics from scratch.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with other analysts to collect and interpret large data sets, both internal and external, as well as identify knowledge gaps and research priorities
  • Implement the framework and procedures for maintaining a contact management solution and engagement impact dashboards
    • Support all assigned programmes through monitoring, tracking and documenting the outputs and outcomes of their activities
    • Assist in designing, reviewing and testing frameworks, procedures and tools for monitoring identified key performance indicators against actual achievements
    • Prepare and present periodical reports

    What we expect from you:

    • At least three years of experience in business intelligence-related functions such as business analyst or monitoring and evaluation officer
    • Ability to analyse large data sets and identify trends
    • Experience with writing and presenting comprehensive reports
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills (English)
    • An analytical mindset and inclination for problem-solving
    • Attention to detail

      • An annual salary between EUR 44,000 and EUR 60,000 (before tax) for a full-time week (37.5 hours per week). This includes the standard 8% annual “holiday pay” and a 5% end-of-year bonus
