Cigdem is a Technical Training & Development Officer in the Learning & Development team. She joined the RIPE NCC in 2019 and delivers training courses throughout the RIPE NCC service region (Europe, Middle East and part of Central Asia) on different topics including the RIPE Database, IPv6, BGP and Routing Security.
She has over fifteen years of experience in telco networks, particularly in network design and planning and IP/MPLS technologies. Before joining the RIPE NCC, she worked as transport network planning and design engineer and product owner in Turkcell, a leading mobile operator in Turkey, along with managing network projects. She has also worked for Alcatel-Lucent, now known as Nokia, for more than eight years as an IP TAC Engineer and technical trainer, and given many technology trainings to telecom companies all over Europe.
