All the information you need, including the full programme and other useful pages, are available from the RIPE 77 website: https://ripe77.ripe.net Online Participation: We have a wide range of remote participation options (webcasts, chat rooms, live stenography). You can join the meeting right now at: https://ripe77.ripe.net/live/main Onsite Networking: If you are with us on site for the meeting, the RIPE Networking App has great new features and many attendees are using it. Network with them by downloading the app now: https://ripe77.ripe.net/on-site/ripe-networking-app POLICY DISCUSSIONS AT RIPE 77 On Wednesday, three Working Groups will discuss policy proposals during RIPE 77. The Address Policy Working Group will check whether the IPv6 Policy needs an update regarding the definition of assignments. The Routing Working Group will discuss whether IRR objects should be deleted if they conflict with RPKI ROAs. And the RIPE NCC Services Working Group will discuss whether the RIPE NCC should publish the legal address of resource holders, which would help to identify them. Full remote participation in all these sessions is possible from the RIPE 77 website. And don't forget to bring your opinion to the relevant working group mailing list, as only these opinions can be formally considered for the Policy Development Process (PDP). RIPE NCC GENERAL MEETING (GM) Nearly 1,000 members have registered for the GM, which takes place this Wednesday, 17 October. Full remote participation and voting options are available. Members will discuss the Draft Activity Plan and Budget 2019 and vote on four resolutions, and there will be reports from the Executive Board and RIPE NCC management. Register now at: https://www.ripe.net/s/gm-registration-oct-2018 VALIDATING abuse-c CONTACTS We’re busy working out a process so we can start validating approximately 70,000 abuse contact email addresses in the RIPE Database. Angela Dall'Ara outlines the steps we'll take in this RIPE Labs article: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/angela_dallara/how-we-will-be-validating-abuse-c FINDING ABUSE CONTACT INFORMATION If you are having problems with network abuse, our Abuse Contact Finder gives you an easy way to find the right person to contact: https://www.ripe.net/support/abuse CHARGING FOR INDEPENDENT RESOURCE ASSIGNMENTS AND LEGACY RESOURCE REGISTRATIONS On 30 September, a snapshot of independent Internet number resource assignments and legacy Internet resource registrations was made and is the basis for the 2019 charges for these resources. The information is available via the LIR Portal. You can copy the list to your clipboard or download it as a CSV file. RIPE NCC PAYMENT OPTIONS Currently, payment of invoices can be done by bank transfer or by online payment. Different online payment options are available depending on the country. Please let our friendly colleagues from the Finance department know if you would like some alternative local payment options added to the existing methods so that they can investigate the feasibility of requested options. You can contact them at <billing at ripe.net>. 20,000 LIR ACCOUNTS We recently passed 20,000 LIR accounts, and Rene Wilhelm used this as an opportunity to look at how we got there and what the future holds for membership developments at the RIPE NCC: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/wilhelm/20000-local-internet-registries RIPE NCC MEMBER LUNCHES In the next month, we are meeting our members in Barcelona, Sarajevo, Dubai and Brussels.
