I am a RIPE NCC member. How do I register my legacy Internet resources under my LIR?
You can send an email to [email protected] mentioning the reg-id of your LIR and your legacy IP block(s) and/or AS Number(s). The RIPE NCC will then guide you through the process.

I am the holder of legacy Internet resources that are not being used or that are being partially used. Can I return them to the free address pool?
Yes you can, by contacting [email protected]. This returned address space will be added to our available pool and distributed according to the current IPv4 policy.

Can I convert my legacy space to Allocated PA or Assigned PI?
Yes. Legacy space can be converted to a status of “as it had been distributed by the RIPE NCC”. This action is irreversible. If you are an LIR with legacy space, you can convert it to Allocated PA or Assigned PI space. If you are a legacy holder and you have registered your legacy space with a spons

Will registering legacy space affect an IPv4 PA allocation request?
No. Registered legacy space will not be related to your current IPv4 allocations and will not affect a possible request for an IPv4 allocation in any way.

If you are the maintainer of the corresponding objects, please update them as soon as possible. If you are not the maintainer of the corresponding objects then please send an email to [email protected] and we will get in touch with you.

Can I transfer my legacy Internet resources to another organisation within the RIPE NCC service region?
Yes. Legacy Internet resources can be transferred within the RIPE NCC service region. The RIPE NCC can help by updating the registration information in the RIPE Registry to reflect the new holder of the legacy Internet resources, as long as it is clear who the legitimate holder is. Due diligence is
