Updates made to the LIR Training Course Material in 2009
The LIR Training Course material is updated
continuously. New policies and modifications to processes or software
are included to keep the information presented in the Training Courses
as up-to-date as possible. Please find below the most important
modifications:
Automn 2009 (Q4)
Slides and Handbook
- IPv6 PI assignment policy updated
- IPv6 PA allocation policy updated
- New Charging Scheme updated
- Independent Resources implementation schedule updated
- IPv4 Address utilisation and exhaustion graphs updated
Summer 2009 (Q3)
Slides
- slide #10: Updated the CIDR charts (with the exact numbers for K
and M)
- slide #14 and #80: Updated IP4 Address Pool - Now slide. Only 11% available
- slide #73: Added a slide about how LIRs have to cathegorise all
Independent Resources they have requested in the past
- slide #74: added another slide with a screen shot of the LIR Portal page
where the LIRs can cathegorise their Independent Resources
- slide #75: Changed the 4th line from: '1 January 2010: Only 32-bit AS

- First three Sections entirely rewritten.

Assignments for End User Organisations'
- page 146: Updated the Billing Precedure sub-section with information
from the Draft 2010 Charging Scheme. Fixed 50 Euro charge for each
Independent Resource. Added link to the FAQ about new Draft 2010
