The Mbone Working-Group (WG) in RIPE is set up to enable the
coordination of Mbone in Europe and to enhance the flow of information on Mbone
related subjects inside the RIPE community. Coordination of Mbone in Europe
is desired due to the nature of Mbone and its applications. Necessary 'Tunnel'
coordination work in Europe is done via this WG. The WG will also interact with
other Working Groups in related topics (i.e. Routing or DB).
The WG in RIPE will follow new developments of technologies on the
infrastructural level and on the application level.
Results will be published when available during the meetings, on the mailing
list and on this Web-page.
One result is a recommended list of applications and ISPs that offer multicast
based services.
The WG hereby welcomes any input from vendors that offer to update their
implementations status, which will be incorporated into this page.
Future topics will also be discussions about content providing and accounting.
Applications
General Mbone information is found on the 'main Mbone server' at
