Roundtable Meetings

The RIPE NCC hosts Roundtable Meetings to discuss Internet management issues relevant to governments, regulators and industry partners. These meetings provide attendees with a chance to learn more about how to participate in IP address management policy-making. High-level discussions of IPv4/IPv6 address space and root name servers also provide attendees with an overview of the main elements involved in the technical coordination of the Internet.

Previous Meetings
The last RIPE NCC Roundtable Meeting was held at the Hotel Le Plaza in Brussels on 19 March 2013. There was a total of 40 government, regulator and industry representatives registered.
The first RIPE NCC Middle East Roundtable Meeting took place on 3 June 2011 at the Habtoor Grand Hotel Convention Centre in Beirut, Lebanon, alongside the 10th Arab Telecom and Internet Forum.

Meeting Content
These meetings keep governments and regulators informed on current issues surrounding the governance and operation of the Internet, including:
- IPv6 adoption
- Depletion of the IPv4 address pool
- Registration of Internet resource data, including Internet resource certification
- Internet statistics and analysis
- Internet governance
Who Can Attend?
Attendance at Roundtable meetings is limited to representatives of government and regulators in the RIPE NCC service region.
