RIPE NCC LIR Tutorial

When: Monday, 22 October 2007 - 09:00-10:30
Where: St Johns II
Training Services Home Page

The RIPE NCC LIR Tutorial is aimed at those who want to learn more about Local Internet Registries (LIRs) and the Internet registry system.

The tutorial covers basic terminology and the different organisations involved. An overview of how RIPE policies are developed and implemented and how they influence the RIPE NCC is also offered.

Attendees can also find out how to become an LIR, how they can find information on Internet resources, such as IPv4 and IPv6 address and Autonomous System Number (ASN) distribution, and the other services provided by the RIPE NCC.

E-Learning

As well as organising courses around our service region and this particular tutorial for RIPE 55 attendees, our Training Services Department looks after the RIPE NCC E-Learning Centre. This is a free of charge service available to everyone.
