Newcomers Introduction Talk

This takes place in the St Johns II room at the Krasnapolsky Hotel on Monday morning between 11:30 and 12:30. During this informal session, the Chair of RIPE, Rob Blokzijl and the Managing Director of the RIPE NCC, Axel Pawlik present an overview of RIPE and the RIPE NCC. They also explain how RIPE Meetings are structured. It is a good time to ask any questions that you have.

Meet and Greet

Timothy Lowe and Amit Jain can help you with any questions you might have about RIPE Meetings. During RIPE 53, the 'Meet & Greet' Desk is open on Monday (09:00 - 17:30) and Tuesday (09:00 -12:00).

Timothy Lowe

Timothy has worked in North America and Europe since 1984. With a background in military avionics, communications and radar, he has worked in Internet infrastructure organisations since 1997, concentrating on public policy development and implementation. He is a member at large of ICANN and presently works as an Internet Resource Analyst at the RIPE NCC.

Amit works in the Registration Services department of the RIPE NCC as an Internet Resource Analyst. He has worked in the IT sector since 1999. He has a background in economics and business management.

Important Information for New Local Internet Registries (LIRs)

To help bring new LIRs together with existing RIPE NCC members and the RIPE community, the RIPE NCC will give each new LIR two free invites to RIPE Meetings. We encourage you to make use of this opportunity to come along to a meeting.
