Title: IPv6 Routing Tutorial
Presenter: Iljitsch van Beijnum (Muada)

Abstract: This tutorial is about setting up IPv6 routing. In most respects, IPv6 routing is the same as IPv4 routing. However, there are a few differences, such as the use of link-local addresses in IPv6 and configuration of the different protocols can be quite different than that of their IPv4 counterparts. For interior routing, there is the choice between using different routing protocols for IPv4 and IPv6, or using Integrated IS-IS, which supports both protocols. The main focus of the tutorial will be on using BGP with IPv6, looking at issues such as using one session for both protocols or different sessions for IPv4 and IPv6, filtering strategies for IPv6 and how to configure all of this on Cisco or Juniper. Some familiarity with IPv4 routing is assumed, but no specific knowledge of IPv6 is required.

Title: Toxbots
Presenter: Scott McIntyre (XS4ALL/KPN-CERT)

Abstract: In September 2005, a cooperation between law enforcement, XS4ALL Internet, GovCERT, and other private and public organisations worked together to help "take down" a computer botnet known as the Toxbot network. In the first arrangement of its kind, the Toxbot Takedown sought to map an active botnet, gather statistical information about its structure and capabilities, and provide infection information to those affected by Toxbot variants. A year later, Toxbot is still out there and a phenomenal amount of information about how botnets exist over time has been gathered. This talk will give a glimpse into the project and some of the many lessons learned about global Internet security along the way.

Presentation is not yet available for download.
