Title: IRR Analysis Service

Abstract: It is a matter of fact that Routing Registries (RRs) constitute a valuable
source of information about BGP routing policies. However, they
are updated on a voluntary basis, it is also well known that they
contain stale data. Even if the quality of the information in the RRs
has already been investigated in the past, a systematic approach to the
extraction of significant data from the RRs is still missing.
We present an online service that, on a daily basis, automatically
produces statistics about the health status of the RRs. The service
estimates the overlap of information between different RRs and
integrates them after resolving inconsistencies, measures the
up-to-dateness of RPSL objects, extracts BGP peerings from routing
policies, and classifies the extracted peerings according to the way in
which they are documented in the RRs.
Since the data produced is collected regularly, the service is also a
useful tool for the assessment of the quality of RR data over time.
Last, we show a comparison between the data in the RR and those
collected by the RIS and Oregon Route Views projects.
