RIPE 52 Co-located Events
ISOC and the IPv6 Portal will hold a half-day IPv6 workshop on
Friday 28 April, directly after the RIPE 52 Meeting.
The target audience is engineers, ICT managers, software developers
and those from the public sector. Participants should have some
IPv4 knowledge in order to take advantage of the workshop.
The goal of the workshop is to introduce IPv6 from a theoretical
point of view and offer hands-on practice using Windows XP. Information
about other operating systems will also be provided.
The workshop also gives some basic ideas on how to enable IPv6
in ISP and enterprise networks. As a practical exercise, participants
will be able to present their own network cases and work on possible
transition paths for them.
Participants should bring their own laptops with XP SP2 installed.
Attendance is free of charge but prior registration is required.
