RIPE 50 Dinner
The RIPE 50 Dinner took place on Thursday 5 May in
the Golden Hall of the Stadshuset in Stockholm.
Stadshuset is the Swedish name for the Stockholm City
Hall. This building is most well known as the site of the annual
Nobel Prize dinner and festivities.
The Golden Hall contains over 18,000,000 mosaic pieces
made of glass and gold. Einar Forseth has created a glistening banquetting
hall for up to 700 people. The Hall is dominated by the "Queen
of the Lake Mälaren" on the northern wall which represents
Stockholm being honoured by the East and the West.
Along with a buffet dinner and drinks, RIPE Dinner
guests were treated to music and live entertainment. |
