Air

Arriving by Air
Situated ten miles south of Manchester city centre, the airport is served by train, bus and coach services. A dedicated transport interchange - The Station - is open 24 hours and links trains, coaches and buses into one building. It is connected to all terminals by Skylink moving walkways, lifts and escalators. The Station provides a variety of services for passengers including waiting areas, terminal and flight information, currency exchange and retail and catering outlets.

Bus

Travel By Bus From the Airport
SKYLINE bus services, provided by Stagecoach, run services direct to and from the airport’s Station, into Manchester. Stagecoach 43 operates as often as every ten minutes between the airport and the city centre.

 

Train

Travel By Train From the Airport
During the day, there are six trains an hour into the city centre and up to four through the night. Trains run to Manchester Piccadilly rail station and take approximately 15 - 20 minutes, many continue onto Oxford Road and Deansgate stations. You can buy tickets at The Station from self-service ticket machines or the ticket office. Train times and information can be obtained from National Rail Enquiries.

Taxi

Travel By Taxi From the Airport
Manchester City Licensed taxis are available for hire on taxi ranks outside each arrivals hall at all three terminals and at The Station. Fares for journeys inside the Manchester Licensed Area are priced on the taxi meter. For journeys outside Manchester, there is tariff of maximum fares.
