RIPE 49 Event Sponsorship
RIPE
Meetings are open to anyone. Although the meeting is primarily technical,
it is also a social event in the sense that it gives people who communicate
frequently on an electronic basis a chance to meet face-to-face to exchange
information. For this reason, extended lunch periods and frequent coffee
breaks are scheduled during the meetings. There are also several opportunities
for attendees to socialise after the RIPE Working Group sessions.
Sponsored activities are welcome at the RIPE Meetings and play an important
role in socialising for the attendees. These activities are scheduled
around the meeting sessions so that they not disturb the character of
the RIPE Meeting.
Between
17:30 and 20:00 on most days, RIPE Meeting sponsors have the opportunity
to introduce themselves to meeting participants at after-session socials.
These socials provide sponsors access to meeting attendees in a highly
interactive atmosphere and give the sponsor an opportunity to highlight
their organisation and services.
During
the Working Group sessions, sponsored activities are not allowed as this
could disturb the RIPE Working Group sessions. However, we offer the option
to sponsor the Terminal Room, open all day most days, that meeting attendees
use between the sessions. Please contact <meeting@ripe.net>
for further details on sponsoring the Terminal Room.
RIPE Meetings are scheduled throughout the year several sponsorship opportunities
available. Locations and dates for the meetings can be found at:
