RIPE 48 Meeting

Newcomers Information

RIPE Meetings provide an opportunity for the RIPE community to come together face-to-face and exchange information.

If you are new to RIPE Meetings we recommend you attend the introductory session for newcomers. The Chair of RIPE and a RIPE NCC staff member will present the Newcomers’ Introduction, an overview to RIPE, the RIPE NCC and how the meetings are structured.

For more information please refer to the “RIPE Meeting Newcomer’s F.A.Q.”

“Meet & Greet” Desk

The RIPE NCC “Meet & Greet” program is designed to help new attendees experience a successful and productive RIPE Meeting and provide a point of contact from within the RIPE NCC.

Designated greeters from the RIPE NCC staff will be available to meet new attendees to answer any questions or concerns.

On-site Meeting Information

The RIPE On-Site Information Exchange (“ROSIE”), an on-site meeting web server, can be accessed once you are connected at the meeting venue. ROSIE was developed to provide important information to RIPE Meeting attendees including:

  • Network information
  • Network statistics
  • Downloadable tools
  • RIPE documents and RFCs
  • Last-minute announcements

Access information to ROSIE will be provided at the RIPE Meeting.

More information about RIPE Meetings can be found in our “Frequently Asked Questions” section.

Important info for New Local Internet Registries

In an effort to bring new Local Internet Registries together with the membership and the RIPE community, the RIPE NCC will grant each new LIR two free tickets to attend the RIPE Meetings.

We strongly encourage you to make use of this opportunity to attend the RIPE Meeting. Detailed information about the meeting can be found at: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/meetings/index.html. For questions, please contact <meeting@ripe.net>.
