Hostmaster Consultation Centre
The RIPE NCC Hostmaster Consultation Centre (Volmer Room I) is located opposite the Registration Desk and will be open at the following times:
Monday 1 September 12:30 until 19:00 Tuesday 2 September 10:30 until 19:00 Wednesday 3 September 12:30 until 19:00 Thursday 4 September 10:30 until 18:30 Friday 5 September 10:30 until 13:00
The Hostmaster Consultation Centre is a service offered by the RIPE NCC during
the RIPE Meetings. It allows RIPE NCC Members (LIR’s) to discuss issues
relating to their business directly with our hostmasters.
However the service
is not limited to LIRs only, anyone with a question on resources can visit
us, especially those interested in becoming a member.
An outline on the types of questions we would expect is:
- Guidelines on setting up an LIR with the RIPE NCC
- RIPE community policies and RIPE NCC procedures
- ERX (Early Transfer Project) matters
- LIR Portal
- LIR Training Courses (what, where, when)
Our Hostmasters will also be happy to answer your questions about:
- IPv4 allocations or assignment requests
- ASN requests
- IPv6 allocations or assignment requests
- Reverse delegation requests
- Registry file updates.
