Masía de Can Cortada
The beginnings of the "Masía de Can Cortada" go back to the eleventh century when the Lords of Horta built a defense castle to prevent feudal attacks.
During the Middle Ages the castle was enlarged with attached wings, always keeping its military design.
In the sixteenth century the Horta family sold the castle to Jaume Fiella who transformed it into a country house.
In 1711 the property was purchased by Juan de Cortada, who gave the country house the name "Can Cortada".
Thanks to the effort and wise move of the family Soler who opened the doors of Can Cortada as a restaurant in 1994, we have the privilege of enjoying the kind of daily life that the walls of the "Masía de Can Cortada" have kept for centuries.
Enjoy the traditional cuisine from the area in a snug, typical atmosphere that is full of history.
