IP request tutorial
IP Request Tutorial (Monday, 27 January
2003, 14.00 - 17.30)
This tutorial is aimed at Local Internet Registries (LIRs). The goal of the
"IP Request Tutorial" is to explain address space assignment and allocation
procedures in the RIPE NCC region. It contains selected parts from the
LIR Training Course that the RIPE NCC provides to its members.
The topics include:
- How to Interact with the RIPE Whois Database;
- How to Request Address Space;
- Completing the Request Form;
- Evaluation;
- Assignment Window;
- PI Assignments.
It is not necessary to register. All RIPE Meeting participants are encouraged to attend this tutorial.
The tutorial is available as HTML,
Powerpoint and as a zip
file that includes all the handouts and examples which are used during
the tutorial.
