Newcomers Introductory
Talk
The Newcomers Introductory Talk will take place on Tuesday 16 May, 2000
from 17:00 - 18:00.
This session is designed to provide an overview of the RIPE meeting to first
time attendees. General information about RIPE and the RIPE NCC will also be
presented.
EOF (European
Operators Forum)
This EOF program is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 16 May, 2000 from
10:00 - 17:00.
The topic "Technical Drivers for Internet Address Usage"
subtitle: Will every fridge, light switch and mobile phone need an IP
address?" will be discussed. Please indicate your interest in attending
the EOF on the registration form.

Reception
All meeting participants are invited to attend the RIPE Meeting Opening
Reception. The Opening Reception will take place on Tuesday afternoon at the
Danubius Thermal Hotel Helia details will be announced at
a later date.
Wednesday Social Gathering
Invitation
On Wednesday, 17 May 2000, the Council of Hungarian Internet Providers invites you on a
Boat trip
on the Danube
to the Castle Hill.
The boats name is Tancsics. She arrives at 17.30 near the Hotel at the river bank and leaves at 18.00. Refreshments will be served on
board. The boat arrives at the Castle Hill at 19.00.
In the Matyas Church we can listen to a 45 minute Bach organ
concert

RIPE Dinner
The Matthias Cellar Restaurant is situated in the centre of Budapest. It
was opened in 1904 and named after the famous and most popular Hungarian King,
Matyas. The decoration of the brasserie and the three large rooms recalls the
great Kings' era and the multitude of legends attached to his name. Many
outstanding politicians and famous artists have their names in the visitors'
book and the number is still increasing.
The Matthias Cellar Restaurant guarantees
an unforgettable Ripe Dinner with delicious Hungarian food, wines and Gipsy

Danubius Thermal Hotel Helia: Is situated on the river banks on the Pest
side of Budapest. The distance to the centre of Pest is about 10 minutes by
metro.
From the centre to the Hotel: enter any metro and exit ' Dozsa Gyorgy
ut'
From the Hotel to the centre: from "Dozsa Gyorgy ut' and exit at
'Deak Ferenc ter'
Tickets available at every metro stop and cost 90 Forinth.
Distance/price between the centre of Pest and Hotel Helia is 15 min by taxi and
approximately 1500 Forinth.
By Airport Mini
Bus
By airport mini bus - cost: approximately 1000 Forinth per person. Please
purchase tickets at the LRI AIRPORT PASSENGER SERVICE counters in the baggage
reclaim area or in the Arrivals Hall.
