Newcomers Introductory Talk

The Newcomers Introductory Talk will take place on Tuesday, 22 February, 2000 from 16:00 - 17:00. This session is designed to provide an overview of the RIPE meeting to first time attendees. General information about RIPE and the RIPE NCC will also be presented.

EOF (European Operators Forum)

This EOF program is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 22 February, 2000 from 10:00 - 17:00. In the morning, the forum will discuss: "IPv6: real life experience". After lunch the topic "Technical Drivers for Internet Address Usage" subtitle: Will every fridge, light switch and mobile phone need an IP address?" will be discussed. Please indicate your interest in attending the EOF on the registration form.

Opening Reception

All meeting participants are invited to attend the RIPE Meeting Opening Reception. The Opening Reception will take place on Tuesday, 22 February. More details on the exact time and location will be announced shortly.

RIPE Meeting Dinner

The RIPE Meeting Dinner will take place on Thursday, 24 February at 19:15. The event will be held at "'t Breughelhuys". The price for this event is listed in the payment section of the RIPE Meeting registration form (see below).

Directions to the Golden Tulip Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky:
By foot from the Amsterdam Central Station (10 minutes) Take the main hall exit and cross the square in front of the station. After crossing the Prins Hendrikkade, you find yourself on the Damrak. Continue until the Dam Square. You now see the Golden Tulip Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky on your left-hand side.
By tram from the Amsterdam Central Station (5 minutes) Take the main hall exit. At the square in front of the Central Station you will take one of the following trams: 4, 9, 16, 17, 20, 24 or 25. These trams all stop in front of the Bijenkorf, near the Dam Square. You will see the Golden Tulip Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky on on your left-hand side.
