It looks like my provider, DTAG.DE, does not know where to find me.
It seems to depend on the ip he choses to assign to me.

Outgoing sockets work.

Incoming sockets dont reach me.

Problems began when they started using 84.167.xx.xx for their DSL-customers
at the end of 2004. Support does not answer my emails. Maybe they dont even
get them. I do have problems sending emails to a lot of places using this
ip address range.

If I was not afraid that a lot people are facing that very same problem,
probably without even knowing, I would not bother you.

There are no firewalls between the two computers neither in hardware nor in
software and there are no NAT-routers involved either.

This is the second trial to send this email. The first resulted in:
