the basic issue is that multi-homing is *the demand*. And it's not the ISP
who has to evaluate whether it's the right one but the *customer*. We live
in a customer - driven world. Money makes the world go round, not techies.
 - "I would like a car made out of wood."
 - "I don't think that that is a good..."
 - "Stop being a techie, give me a car made out of wood."

Go home and make your homework.
 ...and you could hear the customers router-"guru" on the verge of
  crying because he has *no* idea how to get out of this mess he's
  in from flapping his bgp-session ("umm a couple of times, no idea
  how many"), and where ever did his routers config go ("It was right
  here, honest")?
