RIPE Region Hostcount for October 2001

Dear All,

below is the hostcount for October 2001. 

The table shows an increase since last month of over 260,000 (or 1,6%) 
to a total of almost 16,490,000 hosts in the DNS in Europe and
surrounding areas.

The no domain shows the highest increase for October with approximately
53,000 hosts more than in September.

- Brief Notes on this Hostcount -

  - The August, 2001 data for pt had to be reused since no new remote data 
    was collected.
  - The August, 2001 data for mt was reused because no new remote data 
    upload was possible.
  - The September, 2001 data for it was reused because the remotely 
    collected data was not complete.
  - The September, 2001 data for pl was used again because the remote data 
    was not complete.
