RIPE Region Hostcount for March 2001

Dear All,

below is the hostcount for March 2001. 

The table shows an increase since last month of over 470,000
(or 3,6%) to a total of almost 13,700,000 hosts in the DNS
in Europe and surrounding areas.

The ru domain shows the highest increase for March with
approximately 175,000 hosts more than in February.

- Brief Notes on this Hostcount -

  - the January, 2000 data had to be reused for uk due
    to problems with co.uk. since that time. 
  - the February, 2001 data had to be reused for tr, il,
    es, ch, li and fr due to an assortment of operational
    problems. 
  - no new data could be collected for ci due to problems
    with transfer of the top-level zone.
