Dear All,
below is the hostcount for April 1999.
The table shows a *decrease* since last month of around 95,000
(or 1.1%) to a total of almost 8,330,000 hosts in the DNS in
Europe and surrounding areas.
The de domain shows the highest increase for April with
approximately 72,000 hosts more than in March.

- Brief Notes on this Hostcount -
The somewhat surprising decrease in the overall number
of hosts was largely caused by a decrease of around
1/4 million hosts in uk. There was not sufficient
time between receiving the data file and publishing
the hostcount to account for this, but we will certainly
investigate and report back next month.
