First DESIRE-II Web Cache Managers Workshop
25-26 Feb. 1999
Utrecht, The Netherlands
The first DESIRE-II Web Cache Managers Workshop will be held in Utrecht on
the 25th and 26th February, 1999. This is a training workshop aimed at
existing web cache managers who are interested in learning more about the
technology and related utilities. Attendance at the workshop is free of
charge but numbers are STRICTLY LIMITED so registration is essential. To
register, please return the attached form to d2-cache@localhost.
Topics covered by the workshop will include:
- Cost / Benefit Analysis of web caching
- Building cache meshes
- Log Analysis and Statistics
- Benchmarking, Testing and Measurement
- Transparent Caching
The workshop will involve both presentation and practical hands-on sessions.
DESIRE II is a large, pan- European co-operative development project to
promote the use of the World Wide Web (WWW) in the European research
community. The project has attracted substantial funding from the European
Union's Fourth Framework Programme. For more details, please see
