A new document is available from the RIPE document store. 

Short content description
-------------------------

This document describes the RIPE NCC Consistency and Auditing
Activities. As agreed upon in the 1996 Contributors Committee Meeting,
the RIPE NCC has set up activities to check that address assignment
guidelines are applied equally and to ensure a fair distribution of
address space among the Local Registries in the RIPE NCC region.

Accessing the RIPE document store
---------------------------------

The RIPE document store is available via anonymous FTP to
ftp.ripe.net, in the directory ripe/docs. 
The URLs for the new documents on the FTP-server are:

  ftp://ftp.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-170.ps   PostScript version
  ftp://ftp.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-170.txt  plain text version

You can also access the RIPE documents in HTML format via WWW.
RIPE-170 is available from the WWW at the following URL:

  http://www.ripe.net/docs/ripe-170.html

Documents can also be retrieved from the RIPE document store using a
mail server program.  For more information on how to use the program,
send email to mail-server@localhost with "send HELP" in the body text.
