Dear Colleague,
Please feel free to re-distribute this message.
The TERENA Technical Programme exists to co-ordinate new and emerging
technical activities on behalf of research and education network users in
Europe. The core activities are carried out in 3 main fora: Working Groups,
Task Forces and Projects. More recently, TERENA has been concentrating on
Task Forces and Projects as a means of delivering fast and timely results
to its members.
At the TERENA General Assembly meeting in Bled in Nov. 1996, it was agreed
to make a limited amount of funding available to the community in order to
generate new and innovative pilot projects. The TERENA Technical Committee
is therefore soliciting proposals for small to medium sized projects which
can demonstrate short-term gains and yield swift results. It is hoped that
a few of the resulting projects may lead to larger, externally funded
projects in the longer term.
Funding of approximately 10-15 kECU is available for 5-6 projects.

Regards,
The TERENA Technical Committee
