Application for NATO Advanced Networking Workshop - Migrating
Towards a High Speed Networking Service

5-9th May 1997

Introduction
------------
Adjacent to the TERENA Joint European Networking Conference in
Edinburgh in May 1997, a NATO Advanced Networking Workshop has
been organised with the theme: "Migrating Towards a High Speed
Networking Service". It is aimed at those who are currently
running national network services but who will, in the near
future, be moving to new technologies to provide new
applications, higher bandwidth and a more reliable service. The
workshop will be practical and technology-oriented but will also
provide some experience of network management and an exploration
of the application-level issues which arise with the newer
technology.

The event will be a single-track workshop with possibly a limited
number of parallel sessions. There will be classroom-style
lectures complemented by hands-on technical sessions where
appropriate and practicable.

For more details about the workshop, please see:

     http://www.terena.nl/conf/nato-anw97/
