    Hi Daniel and Carol,
    
    first of all, thank you, it's working now !  I just tried it again with
    (some really outdated) Mosaic, EnhancedMosaic and Lynx versions and
    always got a nice and readable standard HTML-homepage !

    Nice, but didn't work properly until recently.  It's OK now.

    not very elegant

    I don't !  I'm just favouring reliably working solutions !  As long as
    option one is falling into this category it's perfectly OK with me !
