                        19th RIPE Meeting Dinner
                    Tuesday, September 13th, Lisbon

                        Venue:  FAIA
                                Rua da Barroca, 54/56
                                Bairro Alto
                                Lisbon

                        Time:   8:30pm

The RIPE Evening Dinner for this meeting has been kindly organised by
Graca Carvalho.  The dinner will be in a  "Fado" restaurant.  "Fado"  
is a very special kind of music and song that can only be found in  
Lisbon. The food that will be served is typically Portugese.  

The menu for the dinner is as follows:  

                        Linguica Portuguesa
                        (Portugese sausage)
                        Carapaus de Escabeche
                     (Mackerel with onion sauce)

                         (Melon with smoked ham)

                Escalopes de vitela recheados com presunto
                 (Veal Scallops stuffed with smoked ham)

                      Trouxas de ovos com gelado
                    (Sweet Egg rolls with ice-cream)

                                Cafe'
                              (Coffee)

    			   Vinho do Douro
                      (Wine from the Douro region)

Please note:
       *The cost of the dinner is fixed at Hfl. 70,- inc. drinks.  
        The exact price to be paid in Portugese Escudos will depend 
        on the exchange rate on the day of the dinner. At todays
        rate, the dinner will cost  Price: 7.000$00 Escudos.  
        This will be payable in CASH on the day of the dinner.

place reserved for you at the dinner.  Unfortunately you will not be 
able to attend without prior registration, so please let us know asap.
