[ Some people may have received some old mail from us over the last
minutes or so. Due to an error, we have resent some mail that was
originally sent in May this year. Apologies. ]
Folks,
Here is the (belated) hostcount for July 1994. Due to holidays the
results are only available now, but the data was actually gathered at
the end of July.
- A few countries show a slightly lower count this month. Due to my
absense I have not been able to re-count them.
- Overall an increase of over 29,000 (or 3.8%) to almost 790,000
machines in the European part of the DNS.
- Those who want to pick up some data from the usual place
(ftp.ripe.net:ripe/hostcount) have to hurry up, because the files will
be replaced by the August hostcount next week. Sorry.

This is an overview of the History of the RIPE hostcounts.
It only contains the totals. The totals for 1990-1991 should be considered
rather unstable and unreliable because the program used then was not really
tuned, plus the count was not done as regular as it is now.
Count : total hostcount for all European top level domains
Delta : delta since previous count
Delta % : delta as percentage of previous count
Q Delta : delta over the past quarter
Q Delta%: delta over last quarter as percentage of end of last quarter count
For the Q Deltas I have not calculated those back before 1992, because the
figures for 1990-1991 are not too reliable.
