Welcome to
Broadband Communications'94

After the workshop on Broadband Communications held in Estoril in 1992,
IFIP (Technical Committee 6) is organizing an International Conference on
Braodband Communications in Paris.

The Conference aims at presenting and discussing the state-of-the-art and
the evolution of broadband communications, both in the public and private
networks.

The papers selected for presentation in the Conference cover the key issues
of switching, resource management, network control, communication services,
testing, quality of service, traffic characterization, traffic control and
protocols.

Invited talks on the fields of multimedia communication and traffic control
and a panel on ATM introducing are also included in the program.

The program is the result of the work of the members of the scientific
program committee, organizing committee and the referees. The conference is
made possible by the sponsoring organizations IFIP and TELECOM Paris and
the conference sponsor, the "Louis Leprince-Ringuet Foundation".

Looking forward to meeting you at the Broadband Communications'94 in Paris.
